80 tons post consumer glass recycled from KPMG

Szolyd precast products brings to you the perfect closed loop cycle of materials from cradle to grave to cradle.

All 10 floors at 777 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver, B.C.  contain office cubicle glass which will be turned back into recycled glass countertops for the client.

Over 80 tons of post consumer glass will be diverted from Vancouver landfills, helping this Kasian Architecture designed project obtain LEED status. When the idea of utilizing internal demolition building materials was suggested, Szolyd enthusiastically started preparing samples. The client, KPMG, recognized the opportunity and embraced the material Kasian brought forth. Szolyd now installs a floor at a time, loading up the empty truck with cubicle glass, greatly reducing the carbon footprint of the entire project.

Kasian Architecture has specified G-ROC for a 10 floor renovation for the client, KPMG.
